Summer 2010
Dear Friends,
Unity Co-Founder Myrtle Fillmore wrote in Healing Letters- "We must have quiet and opportunity for inward searching, for we must go beyond what we have heretofore attained."
Most of us would not choose a life of solitude and inward searching, yet we can all benefit from time alone. Often it is challenging for us to carve out times for ourself, or we may even feel guilty taking time from our busy lives, just to be alone. Yet, when we are experiencing stress and a lack of balance in our lives, we realize that we have not been taking the time to go within, quiet ourselves and feel God's presence. Our lives are full of constant activity and noise, leaving us feeling drained physically, emotionally and mentally. Quiet time spent in meditation, walking, doing yoga is renewing, it nourishes our souls. Enjoy our beautiful West Virginia summer, take a walk,or sit in nature, be present with the sounds of the birds, the insects ,notice the flowers, trees, enjoy the unique configurations of the clouds. As you walk or sit listen to your heart and between the beats, you will hear the whisper of spirit.
In the quiet, we discover an opening where we receive new insights, strength and Divine ideas that can bring us-"beyond what we have heretofore attained."
Love, Reverend Anne
